FT. LAUDERDALE APPROVES 1ST EVER STREET CLOSURE
OF LAS OLAS BOULEVARD BETWEEN SEABREEZE BLVD. & A1A
7TH ANNUAL ELBO ROOM & BRUCE ROSSMEYER’S HARLEY-DAVIDSON
NEW YEARS EVE CELEBRATION

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (January 14, 2004) – The City of Ft. Lauderdale has approved the first ever street closure of Las Olas Boulevard from Seabreeze Blvd. to the Elbo Room for the “7th Annual Elbo Room & Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson New Years Eve Celebration.”
The celebration begins at 4:00pm with a live band and interactive entertainment lining Las Olas Boulevard from Seabreeze Blvd. to the Elbo Room. The celebration ends at midnight at the world famous Elbo Room, located at 241 South Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale, with a one-of-a-kind opportunity this New Year’s Eve. A 4 ft. by 8 ft. official Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield will drop from over 40 ft. above the Elbo Room while the famous New York / Times Square ball drop will be simultaneously broadcasted outside via a large screen television.
There is a $5 entry fee, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County, a program to help young people improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during their critical periods of growth. $10 raffle tickets will be sold at the event to enter guests into a random drawing to receive a weekend rental for a Bruce Rossmeyer Harley-Davidson motorcycle valued at $500. Raffle tickets are also available prior to the event at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Ft. Lauderdale Harley-Davidson, located at 2871 N. Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale.
